- Become a Costumed Adventurer! Do you feel like something's missing in your life? Has the daily grind been grinding you down? Learn how to make your life an adventure again! This works best as a small-group interactive workshop but can also be presented as a talk to larger audiences. It includes tips on how to develop a Character based on your deepest spiritual qualities and how to manifest the power of that Character in your life using a Costume.
- Revolution. This talk (or interactive workshop) based on Treesong's series of "revolutionary self-help" books will introduce you to a holistic approach to creating a better life for yourself, your community, and the Earth. Whether your focus is on personal empowerment or community activism, Treesong's Revolution series can help you to understand where your life and your actions fit into the big picture, and how you can get the most out of your revolutionary journey.
- Introduction to Permaculture. Treesong is a Certified Permaculture Design Consultant. Learn about the basic principles and practices of permaculture and how they can empower you to live more ecologically, economically, efficiently, and enjoyably, all at the same time!
- Real Magic. Magic is the art of transforming consciousness at will. Learn the basic principles and practices of real magic, including how to achieve greater mental clarity, how to create positive change in your life, and how to stay sane and upbeat when the banality of your surroundings is dragging you down.
Credentials
Treesong has spent the past ten years on a journey of personal development, community service, ecological defense, and political action. Here are just a few of the highlights of this journey:
- Ecological Advocacy. Treesong is perhaps best known for his commitment to ecological defense and green living. Over the years, he has participated in organizations such as SIUC's Student Environmental Center, the Cove Mallard Coalition, Earth First!, Friends of Bell Smith Springs, the Green Party, and Southern Illinois Center for a Sustainable Future.
- Radio Personality. For the past eight years, Treesong has co-hosted a radio show called Your Community Spirit. This upbeat, humorous weekly program highlights community events, environmental news, and commentary on social and ecological issues of the day.
- Permaculture Studies. In 2006, Treesong received his certification as a Permaculture Design Consultant during the Earth Activist Training lead by Starhawk and Charles Williams.
- Institute for Social Ecology. In the summers of 2001 and 2002, Treesong attended the summer programs of the Institute of Social Ecology, including training in permaculture design, political theory, and community organizing strategies.
- Interfaith Center. Treesong spent two semesters as a program assistant at the Interfaith Center in Carbondale, Illinois, and has been involved there in various volunteer capacities for almost ten years.
- Barbara Brennan School of Healing. Treesong participated in the first year of the Professional Studies program at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing. This experience empowered him to learn about personal process work and the relationship between personal healing and world service. [Note: Treesong did not complete the four year program and is not available to speak about Brennan Healing Science.]
- Big Muddy Independent Media Center. Treesong has spent the past several years involved in the Big Muddy IMC, a community media organization in Southern Illinois.
- Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. In 2000, Treesong received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. His focus was on ecological and political philosophy.
