Support Treesong's Work

Hi there! My name is Treesong. Thank you for visiting my website!

If you're reading this message, you may be considering supporting my work as a community activist and Real Life Superhero. For the past 12 years, I've spent a considerable amount of time, energy, and occasionally money supporting various ecological and social justice causes here in Southern Illinois and beyond. Most of this has been unpaid work, and most of it will continue to be unpaid work. However, the amount of time, energy, and money I can contribute to this work is currently sharply limited by my lack of adequate funding.

Your support ensures that I spend less time struggling to fulfill my basic survival needs and more time serving the causes that you and I both hold dear to our hearts.

You can support my work in a wide variety of ways. I've listed some of the most important ones below.

Thank you in advance for your support! If you have any further questions or comments, please contact me for more information.

Local Causes : Many hands make light work. The best way for you to support my work is by joining me in taking direct and indirect actions to support local causes. Just about every community group I've seen could always use more participation, and your support could make life easier for everyone involved.

Donate : You can also make a donation to my Real Life Superhero work by credit or debit card using the button below. If you'd like to donate in support of a particular cause listed on my Causes page, I pledge to devote extra time to that cause in direct proportion to the amount of your donation. For every $10 you donate, I will spend an hour of my time working in the service of that cause. I call this my "Will Battle Evil For Food" program! If you don't mention a specific cause, your donation will support my personal and professional expenses as a Real Life Superhero.

Paypal currently lists my birth name, Justin O'Neill. I'm working on correcting this problem. In the meantime, your donation will still reach me under that name.

Buy My Books : I currently have several books for sale at my online storefront, including two books of poetry, a work of non-fiction, and a book based on my blog, Song of the Trees. Lulu is a good publisher, so each sale will actually send a decent amount of money my way in short order. Hopefully you'll enjoy what you read!

Shop at Left Bank Books : Left Bank Books is an independently owned bookstore offering a full line of books and services in the greater metropolitan area of St. Louis. They have cool community and cultural events at their two locations. When you use the Left Bank Books links here on treesong.org, a portion of the proceeds of your purchase will go to Treesong. If you'd like to select from a list of my favorite books, visit Treesong's Left Bank Books Page.

Courses : I've started teaching courses at John A. Logan College. The more students I get, the more likely that I will be asked to continue teaching.

Speaking Events : I am available for professional speaking events and workshops on a variety of topics.

Song of the Trees Gift Shop : My main online shop is called Song of the Trees and is powered by CafePress. It contains T-shirts, bumper stickers, and other memorabilia with creative, inspiring, and humorous messages related to the social, ecological, and spiritual themes of this site. Those of you with an interest in anarchism should also check out my Anarchist American Flag gift shop.

Promote : Let your friends know how much you like this site and the work that I do! Link back to this site or send out a message via email, Facebook, MySpace, etc. inviting people you know to check out treesong.org.
