This is a new anarchist version of the American flag that I created. I've seen something similar, but not quite like this. The red and black symbolize social anarchism, and the green and black symbolize eco anarchism.
Since I'm not an anarcho-capitalist, I'm not likely to incorporate yellow into this design. :) However, you can feel free to use image editing software such as GIMP to take this image and change the red into yellow. If you post your anarcho-capitalist version online or otherwise make use of it, I would appreciate credit for the original image.

Anarchy is a negation of an ideology.... not a stance in and of itself.
An = with out / Archy or Archon = ruler.
Its just that simple. So saying you are an anarchist is like saying your an atheist.... you're rebelling against an idea, not proposing one. A positive descriptor would be something like; Libertarian Socialist or Anarcho-Capitalist, Emergentist or Voluntaryist - these are declarations of a belief, not a rejection of ideology.
As far as Flags: there is all the room in the world for flags and patriotism.... just not coercive or forcable positions. Within the construct of Anarchy there is the option for allegiance to whatever ideology one should chose. just not the ability to force this opinion on others. Its very simple.
As for how:

Anarchy is truth. The only rules we have to live by in this life and the next are the laws of physics. Government is the result of our human weaknesses; a result of our fear. Anyone who is capable of ridding theirselves of fear is a anarchist. They are capable of seeing what government really is: just a mess of confusion, conformity, and cowardice. Sadly I'm not that cool yet, I'm still human, it sucks. And the flag doesn't make near as much sense as the basic, plain black flag. Really it's not that creative either, but whatever you're into I guess.

It looks like the African American/ Black liberation flag so maybe it could be the Anarchist people of color flag, but don't co-opt our flag dude its not cool its not your flag. look it up. black liberation flag.
Up until today I hadn't seen the flag you were talking about. I had mostly just seen the three-striped red-black-green for black liberation, with maybe some variations here and there. But a Google search did in fact turn up one or two examples of a Black Liberation Flag similar to this that you're talking about -- with black stars instead of the black Circle A, but otherwise very similar.
The similarity was purely unintentional and coincidental. I didn't intend to do any co-opting. Now that I've seen this, though, I'll have to think it over.
On the one hand, since both flags are basically just making slight color changes to the original, it's not a surprise that they ended up looking similar. On the other hand, I don't want to actually be seen as co-opting another flag -- other than, of course, the obvious co-optation of the American flag.
Either way, it's a moot point since I haven't really used this for anything and don't plan to. It was a thought experiment more than anything...

Isn't that illogical? an anarchist flag? It's a cool design but still a flag would suggest patriotism which is the exact opposite of an anarchist mindset. i'm just sayin

You honestly think that America gives you freedom??? Any form of government is corrupt! Especially American Government. Freedom is in the eye of the beholder but the government tries to control everything. Why do you think that Anarchy is a symbal of scorn? Becasue thats what school teaches us, it teaches us that anarchy is complete chaos, why does the education system teach us this? Becasue the government controls what schools teach us. Anarchy is not chaos anarchy is true peace. The Governement is so corrupt and scared of being over thrown and that is why it teaches anarchy to be the enemy. If America knew what true anarchy is many of them would choose it. I myself am a Christian Anarchy, I beleive all Archys are wrong except for God. Jesus is my president, Jesus said blessed are the peace makers, Jesus calls us to love everyone and to share everything. If everyone read the Gospels and actually followed what Jesus Taught and let him be in control there would be no need for any kind of governing power or any set laws becasue we would all love each other and we wouldn't need capitolism becasue we'd all share everything. That is true freedom. You can't buy freedom.

Actually it is a symbol of stupidity. These juvenile would-be neo-Marxists whose ignorance of history, economy and law are matched by their obliviousness to the type of person Marx was as a father and a husband (by which true and full insight into this wretched man’s writings can only then be appreciated); Of course most of these juvenile “intellectuals” would no nothing about this as they typically not “burdened” with things like family anyway. No, they also no nothing of the millions killed directly by communist and those who use the communist mantra of “freedom from oppression”. Their teachers, parents and mentors led them down the path of mindless blather about the United States being the worst country on Earth. But try to live in their anarchist heaven in any one of two dozen African countries and these adolescent minds would pray to come back. You fools are to be pitied after you are educated and informed. You impudent ingrates don’t know how lucky you have it here! Hahaha

There is nothing wrong with people expressing their opinions whether you agree with them or not. I have served and was disabled in the United States Military and I beleive its in part the freedom of speech that I supported. This country needs more people who are willing to speak out against our fascist country, we need true patriots. In this supposed free country people have the right to express themselves however they want. Peace/z

This comment seems a bit silly, but I approved it anyway. Here is my reply.
The American flag is a symbol of freedom to many people. The Circle A is also a symbol of freedom to many people. Therefore, I thought it'd be interesting to combine the two into a single design and see what happened.
If I wanted to communicate scorn, I would have made a flag in tatters, or a flag on fire, or a flag being pooped on by a polar bear. Instead, I chose to modify the flag to include what I consider to be a true symbol of freedom. Whether or not you agree with my line of thinking, this is just about the highest form of honor that I can pay to the flag.

Freedom is what the American flag us to represent now with all the corruption it represents greed, and dishonesty, not like when the Constitution was first signed, there has been so many amendment there might as well be no constitution. I'm waiting for the freedom of speech to be revoked then the government is going to say the the people can't recreate or reform the government and in the end it all will erupt into chaos with people fighting people, government fighting people, a three way battle will devastate everything, unless we can stop it some way but in this case and current government I can't see how.

Mate - I am shocked by what that creature said - recent History teaches us, that when a fascist tells any of us we should be shot - he or she (or their pallies) might take it beyond mere "words".
Now: Personally, I view the u.s. flag, as representing - above all - the massacres of innocent civilians, in Laos, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq...

I have no problem in taking a life that threatens mine. Until you have been there. You can't call it a massacre of innocent civilians when it is those same very "innocent civilians" that are trying to kill you. I taken 10 of those "life's" One who was suppose to be all innocent happen to not be and was assassinated for it. I sleep very well knowing that those "innocent people" are dead.
