Summer Adventures

I just got back from a Pagan Potluck Picnic and belated Litha [Summer Solstice] over at Lothlorien in southern Indiana. What an adventure! I got to spend some wonderful quality time with other members of my Coven and friends from another Coven in our same Tradition. The nature sanctuary / campground is a beautiful place unto itself, and my experience there was made all the more enjoyable by the good company! I look forward to returning to Lothlorien soon -- and returning to my Coven even sooner!

It'd be nice if my whole life were all sunshine and rainbows, but alas, not today. My finances are still in a sorry state, the housing co-op I've wanted to start with friends isn't materializing, and I still haven't gotten a response to last week's job application. But hey -- I have gotten my finances far more organized, so even if I can't get a second job this summer, I won't starve!

Spiritually speaking, I've been doing work that goes beyond what I can share in a few words in a blog entry. Basically though, I'm doing some deep healing work on that bit of nastiness that I thrust upon myself years ago -- namely, the moment when I consciously willed myself to stop having feelings. [Here's a free tip -- BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!!] I'm also working on some of the same issues I was earlier -- fears of scarcity, fears of failure, fears of life in general not being safe or meaningful. The more grounded I become, the more I appreciate the fact that such healing takes time. I've got a lifetime though, so let's see how it goes.

On one final note, my whole Revolution of One project is going well. The book is nearing completion, and the Resource Packet for the workshops is complete. My professional life is on the verge of launching me headlong into a new life adventure that I hope will bring a great deal of hope and inspiration to as many people as possible. So even if the circumstances that surround you sometimes look grim, take heart. You, too, can become a Revolution of One!

I'm not quite ready to go to sleep yet, but I've got work in less than 8 hours, which means I need to wake up in 6. Therefore, I'd better get going to bed!
