Summer Cli-Fi Sale

Find Treesong’s ebooks at your favorite online bookseller

Between the summer heat and the rising COVID-19 rates across the United States, I’ve been eager to spend more time indoors lately.

Reading and writing are two of my favorite ways to pass the time indoors. I’ll have more news about my writing in the next issue of this newsletter. In the meantime, I want to tell you about two great opportunities for summer reading.

The first reading opportunity is my Summer Cli-Fi Sale! All of my ebooks are currently half price. They’re $1.99 in the US and about half price everywhere. The sale ends this weekend, and I rarely put them all on sale at the same time, so don’t miss it. Be sure to tell your friends too!

The second reading opportunity is the Diverse SFFH Review Group Promo! Numerous authors are offering free review copies of their pro-queer, disability-positive, multicultural, and neurodiverse books and stories.

Let me know if you liked hearing about these two great summer reading opportunities! If you have any suggestions for future editions of the newsletter, let me know that too. I love hearing from my readers!

Book Review: Bannerless by Carrie Vaughn

Bannerless by Carrie Vaughn is a murder mystery set in a future where society as we know it has collapsed due to climate change. As the two main characters investigate the crime, their journey reveals more details about what life is like after the collapse. This makes for both a suspenseful murder mystery and a fascinating exploration of what life might be like after a major societal collapse caused by climate change.

Book Review: Mimi of the Nowhere by Michael Kilman

Mimi of the Nowhere by Michael Kilman is a tale from a distant future where climate change has wreaked havoc on the Earth. Enormous walking cities roam across vast wastelands, dodging killer storms and occasionally battling with other walking cities. Mimi, a telepathic homeless woman living in the lower levels of the walking city of “Manhatsten,” is just struggling to survive when she makes a discovery that will change her life — and possibly the fate of the city.
