Arcadia, Exhibition Space of Climate and Earth is an experimental graphic project that responds to the climate crisis and to the traditional discourse that surrounds it. Starting from the fact that are the unsustainable and anthropocentric attitudes what have brought us to this point, the project appropriates and decontextualizes the language of utilitarian signaling in order to alarm, question and articulate a conversation about the problem.

Challenging Climate Change is a choose your own story, single-player game about climate change. The player will be given different choices that will guide the plot and the ending in an attempt to save the Earth. Throughout the game, you will learn all kinds of facts about climate change, its causes and effects, and things you can do to help!

Yes, that is 24,000 tons of melting water being added to the world’s oceans every single second.  When carbon dioxide, air pollutants and greenhouse gases accumulate in the environment, they trap the sun’s heat and make the planet warmer.

Climate Anxiety compiles the author’s lectures, studies and reflections on the climate crisis and how to survive as an individual. It’s a mini 16 pages zine booklet made for #ElectricZineJam.

Unlike most itch.io content, this zine is not interactive. It also focuses primarily on climate anxiety, not averting the climate crisis itself.

Climate Change and Angry Fish was made for the COP26 Game Jam. It was developed over the course of two days and consequently has a lot of bugs. 

The game is set in the future where plastics in oceans are higher than ever. The fish in the ocean have evolved to survive the plastic by  coming to land and hunting humans. 

The objective for the player is to stop the fish from destroying the islands community center. If the fish get in, it will mean the end for this small town.

All across the world, industries are polluting the world with their filthy and evil smog!

Stop them from destroying our planet by raining meteors down on the polluting factories! But be quick, as the global warming they are causing is drowning our civilization in the rising sea levels!

While Climate Change Armageddon exaggerates the effects the effects of it, climate change is a real threat! The British Red Cross is fighting for the people who are affected by it the most. And with a small donation, you can help too!

In Climate Changed, the year is 2025 and the world has just about had enough of humans. We now have a continent made solely out of plastic which people have emigrated to in efforts to avoid rising water levels and overpopulation. What a time to be alive, if only there was some way we could’ve prevented this.

Climate Revolution is a card game about building political pressure to solve the climate crisis. 

To win the game, create pressure by playing cards. Once pressure reaches 40, you have won the game. If the temperature ever rises to 4° C, you lose the game. Each turn, the temperature rises and one event card is drawn for each player. Then players take turns and can each draw a card, play a card or discard one for two new cards. Players can hold a maximum of 7 cards. Permanent cards can change the game mechanics though! Keep on playing and learn as you go!

Because of the time constraints of the Climate Jam, the multiplayer mode wasn’t finished, the game only has a fraction of the cards it should have and there are bugs aplenty.

Climatic is a fast paced simulation game! You, as the manager of this chaotic island, need to guide the local residents to constantly avoid disasters such as fires, snowstorms, and possibly sea level rise.

In Climatic Quest, players have the ability to take actions that will help to reduce climate change.

Visual graphics show the impact of their actions in the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.

In Climatic War, the ice caps are melting away all over the North Pole, and predators are fighting to claim what’s left of it. Many are targeting your home, and you ninja-fighter penguin cannot allow that.

Your ice floe is melting away too. Make them understand the hard way that there’s no room for them.

This is an arena beat’em up, where the arena is an ice floe that slowly shrinks as time goes on. (don’t fall!)

Bipedal polar bears, ninja walruses and narwhals will try to take you down. Punch and kick them to earn score points, you’ll receive a big bonus if you survive until the timer ends! The goal is to get the highest score!

In Contra Climate, on the planet of Contra, formerly named Earth, an Apocalypse has swept over the planet and has caused extreme never before seen climates of ice and fire at once.

Scientists developed 2 special species that can possibly save the planet. You play as a ice cat and hot dog who can survive the extreme cold and heat.

With teamwork, you collect items throughout the game to bring the weather back to moderate, livable temperature.

Cool Pipo is an adventure for climate change starring Pipo, a penguin living in an iceberg in Antarctica. Unfortunately, over the years the world’s temperature has started to increase and Pipo’s home has started rapidly melting, leaving Pipo with the task to find a new place for him and his family while overcoming obstacles across his environment.

In Fix the Climate Ship, the climate ship is sinking! You are a politician who can save it by issuing decrees.

In Frostbite: Deadly Climate, a lone Arctic Biologist ends up getting lost in a sudden snow storm and must take refuge in an arctic research base simply called Base 75. However, the base has no power (meaning no heat) and what’s worse it is clear he is not alone in Base 75.

Frostbite: Deadly Climate is a First-Person Survival-Horror game that takes heavy inspiration from John Carpenter’s The Thing in Setting/Story with gameplay similar to Resident Evil 7. Along with a heavy focus on Atmospheric/Psychological Horror over Cheap/Mindless Jumpscares.

Taking place in an arctic setting, players must watch their body temperature as it will slowly drain throughout.  As the body temperature decreases the player will notice some negative effects and will even loose health if their body temp is at 0%.

Future Climate is a science-based climate model that allows you to simulate future global warming. It starts with the world today, and calculates global-averaged temperature based on your choices. 

There are three modes: 

• Simple mode allows you to change all pollutants (carbon dioxide, methane and aerosols) at once. 
• Sector mode lets you change each economic sector separately: electricity, transportation, industry, agriculture and buildings. 
• Gas mode allows you to change carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and aerosols individually. 

In Great Filter: Climate, you run the government, and you rule this planet! Except for industry, of course; there’s not much stopping the enterprising fellows who recently discovered this stuff they call “coal,” which seems to be quite useful for powering everything. They keep requesting grants to develop more uses for it in the name of science. Sounds great! 

Originally intended to be an overly simplified climate model, this little sim does not represent the multitude of factors contributing to climate change, exaggerates the efficacy of carbon capture, and only accounts for global warming (a win condition usually sees global temps plummeting to dangerously low levels), so take this with a large grain of salt.

In Have a Super Day by Treesong, you wake up one morning with a strange dream fresh in your memory. When you leave your apartment, your day gets even stranger. What does your dream mean? And why is there a weird green glow at the entrance to the nearest subway station?

“Have a Super Day” is an interactive fiction game book featuring elements of superhero fiction, weird fiction, and climate fiction. Based on your choices, the plot can go in two broad directions with about ten total endings. I hope you enjoy it!

In The Journey of Climate Magi, the chosen magi using his power to save the climate.

Using A/D to control the character, Space to jump, J to Dash and K/L to change the climate. In Tropical Climate, you may encounter more plant that are available to climb on but also some poisonous plants that may take the character away. In Desert Climate, you will encounter some up wind that can help you to get to some places. In Polar Climate, the heavy wind can make you to jump farther, but sometimes it will blow you down the cliff.

Move to Fight Climate Change simulates a political movement to get the State of New York to become carbon neutral by 2030. To do this you must: 1) build a national organization with 15 million members, 2) convince 300,000 of these members to move to safe Republican districts in Western New York, 3) take control of Albany, 4) pass a $100 per ton carbon tax, and 5) buy up all gasoline powered passenger vehicles in the state and replace them with electric vehicles. If you can do this, you will have turned a $2 trillion economy into a carbon free juggernaut.

In Nuke Climate Change!, humans are pushing the earth to its limits. You cannot let them ruin this beautiful planet! Protect it by force!

Nuke all buildings by throwing comets at ’em. Protect a bunch of procedurally generated Earths. But hurry up! The rising water levels don’t leave you much time.

There are many ways to save energy and thus reduce CO2 emissions in your own home, but having a needy pet and a former self who does not know what he is doing certainly isn’t helping!
