After reviewing responses to the previous poll, I’ve decided to have my first livestream on Tuesday, January 25!
If you plan to tune in live, is there a time on that day that would work best for you? I’ve narrowed it down to 10 am, 11 am, or 12 pm Central time. Please let me know by Monday at noon if you have a preference. This will give me a full week to promote the exact date and time of the livestream.
Facebook was the most popular choice for where to host the stream, so I’ll be doing it on Facebook this time around. I’ll re-evaluate next time based on your feedback and the feedback of any new viewers. Facebook is where I have the biggest and most engaged audience anyway, so it’s a good place to start. I may move the livestream elsewhere in future months if there’s sufficient interest.
Patrons will always have dibs when it comes to the scheduling and content of the livestream. In this case, most of the responses were from patrons anyway, so going with what patrons preferred was simple.
In terms of scheduling, there was almost no exact overlap between people’s votes for days and times. That’s why I’m asking one last time here and on Facebook to narrow it down. The most popular time in general was weekdays during business hours which I found a bit surprising. It’s usually a great time for me to do the livestream, though, so I’m going with it.
In terms of content, the most popular request was works in progress (WIP). I’ll be happy to provide some updates and reflections on my current WIPs during the livestream. I’ll also mention some superhero updates and hopefully have time for a few tidbits about other topics that got fewer votes. But I’ll lead with WIP since that was the most popular among patrons and all votes. Almost everyone voted for that one which isn’t at all surprising.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to doing this livestream. If you’re not going to watch it live, you can also watch the archived version after the fact. I’ll share the link here sometime later that day or week.
In the meantime, thank you for your input and your support! Your support helps to make my livestream, works in progress, and other writing and superhero adventures possible. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions!
